To make sense of these puzzling days we’re living in, Jim Sampas returned to song-writing, a craft he honed as music producer on many acclaimed projects. With the help of a some notable musician friends, he's worked up a new song, "Faith Will Win the Day.”
The Los Angeles Times has called Jim Sampas "the thinking person's producer [who has a] reputation for sticking out of the pack.'' Sampas has collaborated with Sub Pop, Atlantic Records, Warner Bros., and others on projects that have focused on such major cultural figures as: The Beatles, Bob Dylan, The Rolling Stones, and Jack Kerouac (who is his Uncle). These have included such notable artists as: Sufjan Stevens, Aimee Mann, Eddie Vedder, Phish, Johnny Cash, Joe Strummer, Ben Gibbard, Sonic Youth, Michael Stipe, Beck, Chrissie Hynde, Steven Tyler, Ben Harper, Philip Glass, and garnered over a dozen NPR segments, and coverage in such publications Rolling Stone, The Washington Post, The New York Times, Entertainment Weekly, People, MTV News, Time Magazine, and others. Sampas was Executive Producer of the feature film "Big Sur" starring Jean-Marc Barr, Kate Bosworth, Josh Lucas, and Radha Mitchell, Producer of documentary "One Fast Move Or I'm Gone" with Tom Waits, Patti Smith, and Sam Shepard, is founder of Reimagine Music, and Literary Executor for The Estate of Jack Kerouac.

Jim Sampas plays acoustic guitar with Jerry Marotta (Paul McCartney, Peter Gabriel, John Mayer) on drums and percussion, Chuck Doud (Music Director Marvel's "Spider-Man" & "Infamous 2" video games) on electric guitar, John Yates (Freedy Johnson) on bass and Hammond organ, and Graham Parker on harmonica, all recorded by David Cook (Nick Cave, Natalie Merchant, The B-52s), who also produced the song with Sampas.
