lyrics
“Faith Will Win The Day” by Jim Sampas
Scenes of desperation
Shuffle on big screen
Like news print words painting pictures
Of someone’s broken dreams
With head in hands we fight to keep the faith
When we see a mother crying we relate
Young man inside a prison
Woman in nursing home
Some things we can’t begin to understand
Or attempt to outrun
There is no rhyme no reason in what we see
Yet in tougher times we chose to believe
And faith will win the day
As we await what’s out there
As a world pulls together
No matter the mode of prayer
There’s so much at stake
But faith will win the day
It’s hard to get a handle
On just what news is good
Faith is what we need right now
A brother and sisterhood
There is no rhyme no reason in what we see
Yet in tougher times we chose to believe
And faith will win the day
As we await what’s out there
As a world pulls together
No matter the mode of prayer
There’s so much at stake
But faith will win the day
They say there are no guarantees in life
And by God they’re right, so right
There’s so much at stake
But faith will win the day
